I am DEEPLY disturbed, friends. There is a prominent case of “rape” that has captured the media’s attention and caused me alot of abuse on Twitter. I am speaking of the young man named Brock Turner who attended Stanford University. This young man is a handsome, well-groomed Caucasian who was a star swimmer with a lot of potential.
And because ONE young lady accuses him of “rape” — his life is now ruined? Tell me how is this fair? Why are we in a society where a woman’s WORD can destroy someone’s life? My instinct tells me that she was promiscuous and looking for sex at that party. Getting dressed up in her most promiscuous clothes to be more attractive to men, going to the party and flirting and getting grossly intoxicated, among other things. What did she expect?
It’s really disheartening to me that women have so much power when it comes to sexual assault. Just the mere accusation of it against ANYONE is enough to ruin their lives and to me that is not fair. I’ve seen the media excitement about the statement that she wrote. I see it as a very transparent plea for future TV interviews or a book deal. She is not fooling me. My personal feeling is that she should be ashamed of herself and hopefully soon she will come clean and confess that she was indeed consenting to everything that happened.
She is embarrassed that she got too drunk and was caught having sex by a dumpster so of course it’s easy for her to cry “rape” after the fact isn’t it? To not only save her, but her family from public shame. She goes from promiscuous girl to hailed “victim” in the eyes of everyone. But not my eyes, dear. Jesus sees all and you will pay on your day of final judgement.
Praise Him always, friends. As I sleep I pray for Mr. Turner and hopefully one day he will overcome all of the damage done by this female. I pray God forgives her.
